Citrus bergamia (Citrus aurantium bergamia)
Celebrated for its ability to relieve anxiety and its mood-lifting qualities, Bergamot has a unique aroma that is both uplifting and calming. It is a versatile oil for emotional support, skin purification, and overall wellness.
It is believed that Christopher Columbus brought bergamot to Bergamo in Northern Italy from the Canary Islands. A mainstay in traditional Italian medicine, it has been used for hundreds of years in the Middle East for skin conditions, particularly those associated with an oily complexion. Bergamot is famously responsible for the distinctive flavor of Earl Grey tea and was a key ingredient in the first genuine eau de cologne. In the East, it was used to treat skin problems.
Botanical Family: Rutaceae (Citrus)
Plant Origin: Italy, Ivory Coast, Morocco
Extraction Method: Cold pressed from the rind and rectified. It may also be produced by solvent extraction or vacuum distillation. It is also freed from terpenes.
Aromatic Profile: A fresh, sweet, and complex citrus aroma with a hint of floral and spicy undertones.

PHOTOSENSITIVITY: Bergamot is very photo-sensitizing and SHOULD NOT be applied to skin that will be exposed to direct sunlight or ultraviolet light within 3 days (72 hours) of application.
Consult your physician if pregnant or under a doctor’s care.
Do not allow children under 6 to inhale the oil.
A slight, temporary burning sensation is a natural reaction upon application to the skin.

Application & Directions for Use
Aromatic: Diffuse for up to 1 hour, 3 times daily, or directly inhale. Diffuse with Lavender or Ylang Ylang for a relaxing environment.
Topical: Dilute 1:1 with a carrier oil. Apply to the forehead, temples, chakras, and Vita Flex points (especially over the heart and solar plexus) to release anxiety and stress.
Dietary: Dilute 1 drop with a carrier oil, place in a capsule, and take up to 3 times daily to support cardiovascular health and overall wellness. Add a drop to Earl Grey tea for enhanced flavor.
Bath & Shower: Add 5-8 drops to an emulsifier (like bath gel) for a relaxing bath or shower.
